Finally, in a strange occurrence, Incumbent Diane Wilkerson in the 2nd Suffolk Senate District will not appear on the primary ballot because she failed to collect enough signatures to qualify. The expected write-in campaign has drawn a challenger, Sonia Chang-Diaz, who recently announced her own write in campaign.
